Food security, diet and obesity – community-led research

18th May 2019

Central and West Integration Network (CWIN) were supported by Community Food and Health Scotland to conduct community-led research exploring the experiences of ethnic minority communities around food security, diet and obesity.

The findings, now available here, identify cultural influences on diet. Most people interviewed demonstrated a good knowledge of the association between diet, physical activity and weight related health issues.  Once again, affordability was identified as one of the main barriers to healthier eating (and taking up physical activities).
