Food Security Programme

Central and West Integration Network has been running a food distribution programme since December 2012.

COVID-19 Update: Since March 2020, we have changed the way that we work in an effort to keep all members of our community safe. The foodbank delivers food parcels directly to those in need, and there is a walk-in option for those who live close to Garnethill Multicultural Center. If you are experiencing food insecurity and would like more information about our foodbank, please contact Phill at phill@cwin.org.uk

Our community meal is not currently running. We run a weekly Zoom Social for those who miss the social aspect of the community meal and might be isolated. If you would like more information about joining the Zoom social, please email Hanna at cwinoutreach@gmail.com

Food Security Programme

This takes place every Friday from 12noon to 2pm in Garnethill Multicultural Centre. The community meal offers a chance to socialize and enjoy a hot meal together as a community. Vegetarian and Halal options are always provide. The project involves a drop in service including information, advice and varied workshops, along with teas/coffees. The food bank distributes food parcels after the meal is finished.
