Newly Trained Community Chefs!

27th August 2025 - Community Meal

We’re so proud of our newly trained Community Chefs, who received their certificates at CWIN last Friday!

The training, run by Jenny from GCFN's Food and Climate Action Group, covered food safety, workshop delivery, nutrition, and sustainability — and gave space to share food memories and explore culture through cooking.

To mark their achievement, our chefs ran their very first cooking demos:
✨ Tatiana made Cameroonian Sese Plantains
✨ Sam shared Yemeni Salona Fish

The results? Absolutely delicious, as you can see below.

Congratulations to Sam, Mahfuz, Ife, Tatiana, Samira, Marisa — and all those who joined the training. Next up: food hygiene training and more opportunities to lead workshops in our community.

We can’t wait to see what they’ll cook up next!
