Exploring Callendar Park with Refugees & Asylum Seekers!

27th February 2024

Last Saturday, Feb 24th, was a day filled with adventure and discovery as our group of asylum seekers and refugees embarked on a remarkable field trip to explore the beautiful woodland areas around Callendar Park!

Led by our Sessional Worker Christina Kyriakidou, the group had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich history of Callendar House Museum before venturing into the surrounding woodlands of Callendar Park in Falkirk for an unforgettable hike. They also managed to fit a visit to the majestic Kelpies!

This outing was just one of many experiences we've had since last summer, all made possible through collaborative efforts and funding from Scottish Forestry. These trips have been instrumental in providing over 100 individuals with meaningful connections to nature, cultural exploration, and community engagement. Stay tuned for more adventures ahead as we continue to embark on journeys of discovery together!
