5th May 2025 - Organisational Development & Partnerships, Sewing Class
CWIN is delighted to share that our weekly Women’s Sewing Class in Townhead has been funded by the Women’s Fund for Scotland! This support will help us continue offering a welcoming space where women can build skills, confidence, and community through creativity.
As one of our sewing students, Amaka, shared, “I found the sewing course very inspirational, and just a few weeks is not enough to learn the practical and theoretical. I started sewing and want many more classes.”

Another participant, Khadra, reflected, “I really enjoyed the sew class as the teacher gave me individual attention and moved me from the basic course to advance. It grew my confidence and I never expected to learn so much.”
Our classes happen once a week, and the attendants have a chance to exercise dress-making, clothes repair, and many more diverse sewing skills in a relaxed, community-based setting.
We are currently running a waiting list -- it is one of our most sought-after classes -- but do send Antoinette a message on 07988 376897 for more information.
