22nd October 2024 - Walking Tours
Last Thursday, October 17th, four CWIN community members braved the rain for a culture walk through the West End of Glasgow, led by our Walk Coordinator, Laureen Walker.
Departing from CWIN, the group headed first through Garnethill towards the Mitchell Library, where participants had the chance to sign up for library cards. Despite some heavy rain, we continued through Kelvingrove Park, mesmerised by the beautiful fall colours, passing by the University of Glasgow. Our final destination was the Conversation Café at Wellington Church, where we had a chance to practice English, have a hot cuppa and make some new friends.

Our brave group at the Garnethill viewpoint. The rain is coming!

Funded by Paths for All, our walks have given more than 40 community members the chance to explore places like Govan, the City Centre, Luss, and Linn Park, in the past two months.
