🌍 Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back as a team? One day of volunteering can have a lasting impact in local communities.
Take the lovely example of Succession Wealth, which chose CWIN to host their Community Day on Friday, April 25th!
Andrea MacDuffie, Christina Stamper, Rachel Hart, and five other colleagues joined us as volunteer befrienders—first at our Knitting Class, then later at our Community Meal. Their presence brought warmth, friendly conversation, and a welcoming atmosphere to our spaces, helping participants practise English, make connections, and even access support such as registering for college.
Alongside volunteering, the team also coordinated a generous internal food drive, delivering a large donation of dried goods, canned food, and toiletries to our Food Hub. These were gratefully received and distributed among 60 families of asylum seekers and refugees who access our service each week.
Support like this has a big impact—helping create welcoming community spaces and reducing food insecurity for migrant families, including asylum seekers and refugees. Thank you so much Succession Wealth team for choosing CWIN!
