9th September 2025 - Art Group
🎉 We’re excited to announce that CWIN’s Art Class led by Christina Kyriakidou has been awarded new funding from the National Lottery Community Fund — thanks to #NationalLottery players!
This support means we can continue organising one of our core groups for the next two years. Even better, we now have a new home: the Library of Sanctuary, Sir Alex Ferguson Library at Glasgow Caledonian University, where our sessions will run weekly.
In the past three weeks, the group has already visited Kelvingrove Museum for inspiration, explored playful drawing exercises and practised the fundamentals of observational drawing with simple objects.

The Library of Sanctuary, Sir Alex Ferguson Library looks amazing!
Our Art Group has been running for several years, offering migrants — including asylum seekers and refugees — a space to express themselves, build community, and share the joy of creating.
Over this time, participants’ artwork has been exhibited in galleries, community spaces, and at the Refugee Festival. One of the participants, Mohammed, told us: “I would like to say thank you for all your great projects [and] the planning for us.”
We can’t wait to see what this new chapter inspires!
